Ege Rya Gallery rug with abstract midcentury design

In excellent, near mint condition, this original vintage 1960s rug was made in Denmark by Ege Rya as part of the company's Gallery range of rya art rugs. The classic abstract midcentury modern design, entitled Reward, is rendered in strong, vibrant colours including deep golden yellow, bright orange, coral, terracotta and rich chocolate brown. Measuring 70 x 110cm (27.5 x 43.5 inches), the rug has been woven in Acrilan – a manmade acrylic fibre created by Monsanto with a remarkable resemblance to natural wool in both appearance and texture – and retains its original Ege Rya Gallery label on the reverse side.
