Frandsen Belysning of Denmark desk/wall/spot lamp 1960s/1970s

This strong and sturdy vintage Danish bubble lamp was made by Frandsen Belysning of Skanderborg in the late 1960s to early 1970s and retains its original stylish and chunky inline on/off switch and its European-style two-pin electric plug. Its ball-shaped black-laquered metal head is held in position by a magnet in the base, and can be swivelled around to point in any direction. Standing 15cm (6 inches) tall, the lamp can be used as a desk or table lamp or as a spotlight, or can be screwed to a wall via a hole running through the centre of the magnetic base. It takes a small Edison screw golfball bulb max 40w (not supplied) and is in very good condition with small signs of previous use (see photos).
