Brass, teak and glass Danish modern wall lamp pair
Brass, teak and glass Danish modern wall lamp pair
Offered for sale as a pair, these classic midcentury modern wall lights were made in Denmark in the 1950s or 1960s and are designed to be mounted on a nail or picture hanging hook. The lamps have high-quality white cased glass shades which are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, and which sit in a solid brass cup that also holds the bulbholder and is mounted onto a solid teak frame. The lamps have been rewired with brand new vintage cable and come with original vintage Danish 2-pin plugs and inline on/off switches. They take a small Edison screw candle bulb max 25w (not supplied), which can be either opal or clear depending on whether a stronger or softer light is required – we have used one of each in the photos. The teak backboards have a max height of 33.5 cm (13.25 inches) and a max width of 14.5 cm (5.75 inches). The height of the glass shade and brass cup combined is 28 cm (11 inches).
