Vintage 1960s wall clock by Bernina of Germany

Reminiscent of Maija Isola's classic 1964 Kaivo textile design for Marimekko, this vintage 1960's/1970's wall clock was made in West Germany by up-market sewing machine manufacturer Bernina. In dark chocolate brown and warm beige, the organic form of the decoration and numbering also expresses the influence of the art nouveau revival of the period. The clock measures 20.3 x 17.3 x 3.7cm (8 x 6.75 x 1.5 inches) and is in excellent condition with only very minor signs of previous use. With an integral hanging hook on the reverse side, the clock takes a standard C-type battery (not supplied) and can be fine-tuned for timekeeping accuracy.
