Midcentury Danish modern teak candlesticks 50's

Standing 23cm (9 inches) tall, these elegant teak candleholders are an enduring classic of Danish midcentury modern design and fit as well with today's contemporary room settings as they did with those of the 1950s and 60s. This original vintage pair show their age in a gorgeously rich patination of the teak wood from which they have been hand-turned, and in a thumb-tip sized superficial fracture to the exterior face of the wood just below the top edge of one of the two sticks (see close-up image attached). The fracture does not run through to the inside and with careful handling should remain stable indefinitely. The candleholders are designed to take candles with a diameter of approximately 23mm (0.9 inches).
