Long length of unused 1970s viscose fabric with psychedelic op-art chequerboard design

Geometric op-art meets flowing psychedelic in this four-metre length of vintage-but-never-used 70s fabric, which measures 124 cm wide and 406 cm long (it has been folded in half lengthwise in the accompanying photo). The striking interweaving chequerboard pattern is printed on a white background in vivid lime green, dark moss green and warm dark brown. Produced in Germany in the 1970s, the textile is a heavy, furnishing-weight 100 per cent easy-care ("pflegeleicht" in German) woven viscose, as indicated along one selvedge together with washing instructions. This is vintage unused old stock and is in perfect condition apart from a small (approx 4 cm) mark close to the selvedge (pictured), acquired at some point during its decades of storage.
