We wrote in an earlier post about cross-model colour coordination at Fog & Morup under Jo Hammerborg’s artistic direction through the 1960s and 1970s, which allowed the consumer to mix and match different models to harmonious effect in the home. Occasionally these coordinated productions were marketed explicitly as colour-based lines, the late 1960s Rainbow Line and White Line initiatives being the best-known examples.
Much less well-known are the mid 1970s Chrome Line and Golden Line productions. The Chrome Line included special chromium editions of the Fibonacci, the Semi, the Sektor, the Bunker and the Poker (below), and (second below) the Milieu, while the top-of-the-range Golden Line featured gleaming 24 carat gold-plated versions of the Semi, and (pictured third and fourth respectively) the Sektor and the Milieu. The Golden Line, said the F&M publicity material, will be well suited as a refined detail in your home, where for example leather furniture and precious woods are used.
